Who is responsible for your information

What we collect

When you request a quote or use the website assistant, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, location, project details, preferred contact method, photos or attachment metadata, and messages exchanged with the assistant. Our hosting provider may also process ordinary technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, device information, and security logs.

Why we collect it

We use this information to assess and respond to enquiries, prepare or discuss quotes, arrange work, maintain business records, prevent spam and misuse, troubleshoot the service, and meet legal obligations. Providing information is voluntary, but Jeremy may be unable to respond or quote without enough contact and project information.

We do not use quote details for unrelated marketing and we do not sell personal information.

Who processes it

Information may be processed for us by service providers used to operate the website, including Vercel for hosting, Neon for database storage, Resend for email delivery, and an AI service provider when the assistant is enabled. Jeremy and authorised website maintainers may access information when reasonably necessary to operate the service or respond to an enquiry.

Some providers may process information outside New Zealand. We select established providers and use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the service.

Storage, security, and retention

We use access controls, encrypted connections, protected server-side credentials, input validation, and service monitoring to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Enquiry records are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, or longer where reasonably needed for an active job, accounting, dispute resolution, insurance, or another legal requirement. Records no longer needed are deleted or anonymised where practical.

Your rights
